DESCRIPTION

Combining wind and weather protection with rugged, breathable performance and freedom of movement, the Procline AR Pant shines across all aspects of ski alpinism. The N70s WINDSTOPPER® 3L fabric is windproof, sheds snow and provides thermal performance during cold descents down steep couloirs. On the climb, the hardwearing material resists cuts and tears from technical pitches on rock, ice and glacier, and provides the performance stretch and breathability needed to comfortably handle rigorous alpine ascents.

TOOLED to DELIVER

Ski alpinism requires smart features that improve levels of safety, comfort and performance on the ascent and descent. A harness compatible thigh pocket on the left leg has a loop that carefully secures an avalanche beacon but allows it to be quickly accessed in an emergency. Side zips provide ventilation and have mesh backers that prevent snow from entering the pant leg. A Keprotec™ patch helps protect the cuff from ski edge and crampon cuts, and durable 100D Cordura® PowderCuffs™ creates a seal at the boot cuff and hold tight with gripper elastic. A gusset in the cuff creates a secure fit over a range of boot volumes and collar heights. Other pockets include a single hand pocket and a harness compatible dump pocket on the right thigh.

FIT and ARTICULATION

Fit and articulation are at the heart of the Procline AR’s design. The Arc’teryx Trim fit with e3D keeps the WINDSTOPPER® material close to the body to help maximize moisture transfer while leaving room for light thermal layering. The fit also features a straight, streamlined leg that minimizes bulk under a harness and provides a clear line of sight to the feet. Aggressive articulation is built in, a requirement particularly necessary on challenging ascents, and the e3D (ergonomic 3-Dimensional) patterning utilizes extra space in key joint areas to bring an added level of use specific freedom of movement. The waistbelt adjuster is glove friendly, and the suspenders are removable. Both are designed with a low profile to prevent discomfort under a harness.
